Serve the Elders reaches as many at risk elderly community members as possible with the resources we have available. Every individual is important to us and we will not discriminate against anyone. We strive to make a positive contribution in helping senior citizens live a fulfilling and better quality of life.
what we do
Serve The Elders has proudly provided poverty stricken senior citizens in Haiti Jacmel, Saint Louis du Sud, Miragoane, Cap Haitien, Santo Domingo, with nutricious food, clothing, bedding, essential basic and spiritual needs to brighten their lives and achieve personal goals.
Haiti is the 6th poorest and least developed country in the world. In recent years, the population has struggled with problems ranging from political upheaval, multiple health crises, severe environmental degradation, as well as an annual barrage of severe weather.
Deforestation and over farming have left much of Haiti eroded and barren, undermining subsistence efforts, driving up food prices, and leaving the country even more vulnerable.
Because of these circumstance four out of five people are living in poverty.
